Whether you are a yoga enthusiast, or just looking to give back to your community, 24hr Yogapalooza is an incredible opportunity to help kids with cancer. Going into its ninth year, this annual fundraiser supports cancer care and research at CHEO. We are so excited to once again be back at a beautiful new location for 24 hours of yoga across three days, all in support of kids with cancer.
Join Our Passionate Community
Help make a difference in the lives of kids with cancer. Grab your friends, co-workers, and family members OR go solo and have some fun while making a difference. No matter how you do it, everything you raise can make an impact!
Fundraising efforts lead up to our incredible main event - 24hr Yogapalooza — a 24-hour “yogathon”, across three days at Beyond Yoga Studio & Wellness Centre in Kanata this year.
The event schedule is as follows:
4 classes on Friday, September 18 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.;
10 classes on Saturday, September 19 between 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.;
10 classes on Sunday, September 20 between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Attendees and fundraisers are welcome to join in any number of the 24 one-hour long yoga classes taught by amazing teachers from across the Ottawa region.

Letter to Baba : a Storytelling Experience
On November 22, 2019, I suffered a miscarriage at 18 weeks and 5 days. We lost our baby, nicknamed Baba, and our lives forever changed.
This year, I feel called to scream my story of loss, infertility and grief from the rooftops, in the hopes that it would resonate in kindred hearts and shatter the deafening silence around this very special kind of grief.
Join me on Thursday, October 15 at 6:30PM at The Origin Arts & Community Centre for a story of love, grief and healing.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Sunnybrook Pregnancy And Infant Loss (PAIL) Network.
Workshop: The BIPoC Experience in Western Yoga Spaces
We explore the historical lack of representation of Black persons, Indigenous Peoples and People of Colour in the Western yoga sphere and the barriers that affect their access to the yoga practice in general, such as racism, discrimination and implicit bias.
We connect the social justice movement to the practice of yoga beyond our mats, and the ways we can all actively and intentionally participate in fostering safer spaces for racialized communities.
Session Outline:
Hindsight is 2020: Racism as a spectrum
#RepresentationMatters: Who is not in our Yoga space and why
The 5 Stages of Grief and Anti-racism
The importance of BIPOC-only spaces
Allyship as a lifelong journey of continuous learning and growing
